Carrot CRM – Lead Scoring


Introduction

Lead scoring allows users to add a numerical score which then gets calculated and added to an opportunity based on how valuable it is. The user can then sort the Opportunities and actions lists by lead score. This makes it easier to prioritize Opportunities/Actions by sorting out which ones need the most attention based on the lead score. The higher the score, the higher the opportunity should be on the priority list.

There are 5 main criteria for scoring Opportunities which are Motivations, Actions, Groups, Campaigns, and Labels. Each item within the different criteria can be scored from 1 – 10 and will provide a maximum score of 50 after the scores are all added up.

How to Set up Lead Scoring

  1. Click ⚙️ the cogwheel icon
  2. Select Lead Scoring
  3. Click the criteria that you want to configure
  4. Click Assign a number between 1 and 10 to the subcategory in the dropdown according to how you want to rate that particular subcategory. The number will be saved automatically.
  5. Click 💾 the save button in the bottom-right corner
  6. Click Re-calculate Lead Score on all Opportunities which will apply the score to all leads

After the score is applied to the opportunities, they will appear in the Lead Score tracker which can be seen from the Opportunities or Actions list view.


Sort by Lead Score

You can sort your Actions menu by lead score to prioritize your most important opportunities as you go about your day.

  1. In your Actions or Opportunities, open the filter menu
  2. Click the Sort Actions or Opportunities field and select Lead Score

Lead Score Color-Coding

The Lead Score will be color-coded with the following:

10 → 20Green
20 → 30Yellow
30 → 40Orange
40 → 50Red
